Delete your account
Updated November 4, 2026
You can delete your Pagetime account at any time, in the app or by email without it. Deletion wipes your account and its data from our server; your books and notes on the phone stay there.
In the app
The steps are the same on iPhone and Android. The account is deleted as soon as you confirm, and it cannot be undone.
- Open Settings in Pagetime.
- In the Account section, tap Delete account. The button is there while you are signed in; if you are not, sign in first with the same account: Apple on iPhone, Google on Android.
- Confirm. If you still have an active subscription, the app says so first: deleting the account does not cancel it.
Without the app
Write to privacy@pagetime.net with the subject “Delete my account”. Send the letter from the email address of your Pagetime account, or name that address in the letter.
If you chose to hide your email when you signed in with Apple, the account address ends in @privaterelay.appleid.com. You can find it in your Apple Account settings, under Sign in with Apple. It was made for Pagetime alone, so naming it in the letter is enough. In the Android app, the account address is the email of your Google account.
We delete the account within a month of your letter, usually within a few days, and reply when it is done. If the address matches no account, we tell you so and delete nothing.
What is deleted
Everything our server holds for your account, at once:
- The account itself: your Apple or Google identifier, email address, name and sign-in sessions.
- Your library: books, reading sessions, notes and the text recognized from page photos.
- Settings copied from the phone: the daily goal and its history, the streak freeze, the time zone, the first day of the week and the reminder hour.
- Saved AI conversations from earlier versions, letters and complaints you sent while signed in, and anything attached to them.
- Subscription and purchase records from the App Store and Google Play, and the records of AI usage.
What is kept, and for how long
- A fingerprint of your Apple or Google identifier, with the date that account first signed in, how many free AI answers it used and whether it got the free monthly recap. It contains no name or email address. It stays so that a new account with the same Apple or Google account does not get the free answers again, and it has no expiry date.
- Database backups made before the deletion — up to fourteen days, then the backups themselves are deleted.
- Server logs with IP addresses and requested addresses — up to fourteen days.
- Entries in the operator log — up to a year, with your account ID removed.
- Letters sent from the app without signing in are not linked to an account — ninety days from arrival.
- Your books, notes and page photos on the phone — until you remove Pagetime from it; on an iPhone that also has the earlier Pagetime app, until both apps are removed. Deleting the account clears the server, not the phone.
Your subscription
Deleting the account does not cancel a subscription: it belongs to the store where you bought it. On iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions. On Android, open Google Play, tap your profile picture, then Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions.
If you sign in again later, Restore on the subscription screen brings back a subscription that is still running.
