What to write

Three things make it quicker: the app version (at the bottom of Settings), the iOS or Android version, and what you pressed just before it broke. A screenshot is worth ten paragraphs.

We answer within a few working days. Requests about your data are answered within a month, usually much sooner.

Cancelling the subscription

The subscription lives in the store where you bought it rather than with us. On iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, then Pagetime. On Android, open Google Play, tap your profile picture, then Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions, then Pagetime. Cancelling leaves the paid features available until the end of the paid period: unlimited books and page photos, the full stats history, year in review and folder export. AI is disabled for everyone, including subscribers. Sync does not depend on the subscription.

If this is your first Pagetime subscription, the yearly one starts with a free month, on iPhone and on Android. To avoid paying for a year, cancel at least a day before the free month ends.

Refunds are the store’s: for iPhone, ask through reportaproblem.apple.com; for Android, through your Google Play order history. We never see the payment itself.

Deleting your account

In the app: Settings, the Account section, Delete Account. Everything is wiped from the server, conversations included, except a mark that keeps this Apple or Google account from getting the free AI answers twice. Books, sessions and notes stay on the phone until you remove Pagetime from it. If the iPhone also has the earlier Pagetime app, they go only when both apps are removed.

Deleting the account does not cancel a subscription: that is done in the App Store or Google Play. The subscription belongs to your Apple ID or Google account, and after you sign in again, Restore on the subscription screen brings it back.

Taking your notes with you

In the app: Settings, Export Notes. You get a file with every thought, quote and idea arranged by book; send it to yourself by email or drop it into Files. No account needed.

Questions that come up

The free version includes up to five books across all shelves and twenty page scans in total on this device and, once you sign in, across your account. This scan allowance does not renew monthly, and deleting a photo does not restore a scan. A subscription removes both limits. Existing books and notes stay when a subscription ends.

• Sign in to sync your library between devices: with your Apple Account on iPhone, with your Google account on Android. The timer and typed notes do not need an account.
• The app’s language comes from the phone’s settings and changes there. On iPhone: Settings, Pagetime, Language. On Android 13 and later: Settings, Apps, Pagetime, Language.
• Photographed pages never reach our server; the recognition happens on the phone.
• The timer, your books, notes and reading stats work offline. Sync and purchases need an internet connection. AI is disabled for everyone; book details are entered manually.
